Life is better because of Uncle Craig

 

We feel like Craig is more than just "Uncle Craig". We are his only nieces and nephews, so we took it on ourselves to be pesky little brats to him! I used to hide his cigarettes, wet his matches, and put him on a restriction for how many cigarettes he was allowed to smoke! He would laugh and actually do it! I can't believe he didn't just tell me off or something. By the way, he no longer smokes, he decided on my mom's 40th birthday he was "done"....INCREDIBLE will power!!!
We really thought Uncle Craig was RICH. He always seemed to come through when there was a present we were really wishing for. Sometimes it would be my parents and him going togther on the gift, but we just felt really loved by Uncle Craig. He will come and visit us and we all try to claim that we are his favorites, but we really know that I AM! :)

Walking in a Winterwonderland

 

 

 

This year we went to Utah for Christmas to be with the Jefferies side of the family. Since we live in Mesa, AZ where it is DARN TOOTIN' hot...well not in the winter, but we for sure don't get ANY snow. Maybe up in Flagstaff we do...but that doesn't count since we live 3 hours away from there. Anyway, we went to Goodwill to get some snow clothes since we didn't own any. Thus the reason for the great color coordinating as you can see in the pictures!
The minute we got out of the car, the kids were so excited to play in this WInteR WonDERlanD for sure! They jumped into the snow, made snow angels, and then pulled HUGE icicles from the roof. They looked like JUMBO carrot sticks! Grandma Jefferies got such a kick out of watching them and couldn't believe what good sports they were about being in the cold!

Always good to Come Home Again!

 

I really love living in Arizona. I don't LOVE the 115-120 degree days, no....but I LOVE the life here! The people, our neighborhood, our ward, our schools, all the shopping, STEVE'S CRAZY SUB, the sunsets, the red rock, do I need to go on? This is a wonderful place to live. I think Arizona has so much good, and it really is it's own kind of beautiful! These pictures were of the kids and I as we were coming home from Utah. I had to stop to get pictures, because it's so pretty to me!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

 

This summer we were able to go and visit my parents in Orem, Utah. While there, we were able to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. This was the first time the kids were able to go through a temple. They really enjoyed it. Mason gave a talk about it last Sunday in Primary about that experience. It was touching to hear him talk about his favorite part being in the sealing room. We were able to go and sit in the seats and look through the mirrors and see "eternity"....I told the kids a little bit about our wedding day and they really listened intently to what I had to say.

Ballerina back at it again!

 

Abbie said she wanted to take a break this year and then changed her mind. So, yesterday she started up ballet again with Ms. Robbin. Her friend Elyza Randall is going with her. It should be a great year! This year she will go for an hour instead of 45 minutes. She's pretty excited about that! The first thing this morning Abbie asked if today was dance again! How cute!

My love, My enemy!!!!!!

I hate to admit this, but I have a really close relationship with chocolate. A little too close I'm afraid. Have you ever noticed that you are totally ready to go on a diet AFTER eating the treat and then trying on a cute pair of jeans that TOTALLY don't fit? I remember being embarrased to be a size.....X we will call it, and now would be so happy to be at least in that size right now! As if you can't tell I"m a 2 ton tilly from seeing me in that video of Abbie's. Btw, I tried to not upload it, but when she saw I uploaded the boys' video, she felt she needed equal treatment...thus the video where I'm HUGE! I don't think I've ever been this big. I'm just frustrated....I shouldn't even put it on here, but I feel better when I vent. So here you have it. My friend Tiffani Crandell and I go running every morning, but I come home and fill myself up with all I want to since I have no kids asking my what I'm eating! I don't even have to be a "closet junkie" anymore! Man, I am really confessing today, aren't I? It just cuz I'm mad at myself for getting this way. I was never skinny minnie....but c'mon....I probably should be heading to Lane Bryant....don't wanna go there!
Ok...I'll stop for now...hopefully in a couple of months, I'll have something good to say about my weight now that I've told the whole world I hate my size!!!!!
